J. Christian Dennery combines bankruptcy law with extensive firsthand experience in business ownership, consulting, creditor rights, and complex financial transactions.
Christian and his wife, Dolores, opened their first business in 2000 and a second by 2003. Beginning in 2004, he also worked as a consultant to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Together, Christian and Dolores owned and operated several restaurants in Brooklyn, New York, until 2006.
Beginning in 2009, Christian pursued his legal career while working as a legal clerk for a creditor-rights firm and serving as an extern with the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
After becoming an attorney, Christian worked for the City of Covington, Kentucky, where he served as a lead negotiator and draftsperson for complex real estate development and vendor transactions. His work also included programs designed to facilitate the transfer of blighted properties to residents and real estate developers.
Today, Christian focuses on debtor-creditor law and helping individuals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners address financial distress. His business background and experience with real estate and commercial transactions provide a practical perspective when evaluating financial and bankruptcy options.
